Saturday night was the reunion dinner. I had dinner with relatives. Below are some pictures I took during the dinner. We had a lot of dishes and I think the dishes were delicious, even though they came with a hefty price (500+). We had the dinner at a restaurant. It was very hot there. Lucky for my uncle as he brought a traditional chinese fan along.
As you all know, it is the Tiger Year, so my uncle had Tiger beer to celebrate. Of course I did not drink as I am underaged! But that's not the point, I wouldn't have drank it even if I am of legal age. :)
Now here are the dishes !
There was lou-sang also. But as the adults were too eager to "mix" it, I did not have the chance to take a picture. But never mind, we proceed to the next dish. :/
Prawnroll with sauce, mushroom (I like this)
Shark's fin soup. My favourite soup!
Some type of steamed catfish. I don't know what it's called. But anyway, this is my favourite fish!
Roasted piglet with white buns. I like the buns a lot.
Prawns. I didn't eat this. >.<
Lemon chicken. I didn't eat this also. Haha... I was feeling very full currently.
Lotus and vegetables. Ate a bit of this. Don't like it much.
Vegetables, mushrooms... I liked this dish a lot. Very delicious and it's vegetarian!
Fried rice. Very fragrant and tasty. Ate a bowl of this.
Longan and sea coconut. Very sweet. One of my favourite desserts.And that concludes the dishes. It was a very enjoyable evening. I've also taken some pictures of my house decoration and I've decided to show you all one!

I also had my own share of a good Chinese New Year Dinner. I feel that the reunion dinner is very significant to Chinese culture as it symbolizes the united Chinese spirit within us Chinese. My reunion dinner was held at my house with all my relatives invited to join. We had a great time enjoying the food as well as fostering our family spirit.

I think that post is very interesting, especially the food, feel like eating it now. There is a lot of pictures in your post, mostly attractive food. There is also many good and funny content in your post, especially the one regarding the vegetables and mushroom. I hope that you had a good Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year dinner, a day where all your relatives come together and have a dinner. This is known as the reunion dinner. I had my share of reunion dinner and it was not a full reunion dinner because sadly my mother was selected to work for that day.Anyway, my father and sister brought back the food for my mother therefore she still had the chance to experience the atmosphere of the dinner.
A good post as very seldom people would be posting on CNY as they would just be busy celebrating and eating. Hope to see more exciting post.
