The flight from KL International Airport to Siem Reap (somewhere in Cambodia) was about 2 hours long.
Once we arrived at the airport, a tour guide took us around. The currency here is riel, but they also accept USD because their currency is very small (1 ringgit around 1000+ riel).

One thing I noticed straight away upon exiting the plane was the hot temperature here. The tour guide says that afternoon temperatures can reach 40 degree celcius! Thus, we stayed in the hotel in the afternoons and only resumed the sight-seeing in the evening at about 4pm. Despite the hot weather, they save a lot of electricity by not turning on the air-conditioners. They would only turn on upon request.
The main attractions of Cambodia are mostly temples and the famous Angkor Wat. There is also the Mekong River. During the one-week trip in Cambodia, my family and I went to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. We also went to the casino. Below are some pictures taken in Cambodia :

Overall, I think this trip to be quite beneficial and enriching. I learnt many things about the culture of Cambodia and the history through the visits to different landmarks in the country. The books/food there are quite cheap also. In Cambodia, people usually learn driving from their parents or by their own. However, they need driving licenses. They need to pay about USD100-200 to get one. All they have to do is just snap a photo for the license. They could get one at around 16 years old. Usually, Cambodians drive Toyota cars. Petrol is very expensive. Many could afford a car, but could not afford to pay for petrol.
Through the trip, I learnt that we should appreciate what we have. The people there are not very rich, and they save what they have. Therefore, we should set them as an example and learn to save, be it money or resources.
